Alumni Magazine Launched

The VIU Alumni Office is now producing a twice-yearly alumni magazine! Entitled Journey, the magazine will contain feature stories on distinguished alumni, campus news, and updates on what your fellow alumni are up to. Issue #2, Spring/Summer 2009, is now available.

Journey is mailed free of charge to registered alumni. To ensure that you receive your copy, please take a moment to update your contact information. We would also love to hear about what alumni are up to! Please submit items (2-5 sentences; photos optional) on work successes, travels, marriages, family additions, or other accomplishments with the subject "Class Notes" to the Alumni Office.

Who do we represent?

The VIU Alumni Relations Office represents all graduates of the Vocational Training School, Nanaimo, between 1936 and 1971; Malaspina College, between 1969 and 1989 (all campuses); and Malaspina University-College, from 1989 to 2008 (all campuses); and Vancouver Island University. We offer a variety of programs and services for students and alumni.

Our Mission

The Vancouver Island University Alumni Relations Office provides opportunities for Alumni to maintain a mutually sustaining relationship with Vancouver Island University that values their contributions and achievements and supports them as lifelong learners who are making a difference in their communities.
