Fee Category V: University Courses

Description of Fees and Rates for domestic students:

  1. Tuition: $123.65 per credit hour:
    – $370.95 per 3-credit course per semester
    – $494.60 per 4-credit course per semester
  2. Student Activity fee: $4.95 per credit.
  3. VIU Students' Union fee: $63.56 per semester.
  4. Health and Dental Plan fee: $265 per year; this fee is only in effect for full–time students at the Nanaimo Campus.
  5. Other fees: Some courses have additional fees to pay for extraordinary class–related expenses. This fee will vary according to the expense.

** Students can take more than, or less than, 30 credits per year. The above table is based on ten 3–credit courses taken over two semesters. For programs that require 4–credit courses students should add an additional $128.60 for every 4–credit course taken.
