Class 3 Licence

This course provides 20 hours of training with a truck to prepare you for the ICBC Road Test (approximately 2 hours).

All Class 3 applicants must meet ICBC requirements:

  • Fewer than 4 offences that carry penaly points in the previous two years
  • Zero motor vehicle related Criminal Code convictions in the previous three years
  • No outstanding fines or debts owed to the Court, ICBC or the Government
  • Must meet required medical standards

VIU Admission Requirements:

  • Full Class 5 Driver's Licence (no 'N')
  • 18+ years of age
  • Airbrake endorsement
  • Class 3 learner's licence
  • Copy of your ICBC Drivers Abstract (available at no cost)

VIU Tuition: $2,500

Learner's licence: $15
Medical Fee: $28
Road Test: $60
Driver's License: $17 - $75 cost depends on when your license is due for renewal
