Internationalization at VIU

International Education at Vancouver Island University is a significant and growing component of the educational profile of our institution. International education benefits our students, faculty and staff and strengthens our institution and our communities.

Vancouver Island University supports a collaborative model for international education between faculties to develop, manage, deliver and evaluate interantional activity at VIU.

This includes:

  • Educating international students;
  • Submitting proposals for international projects to be delivered by VIU at home and overseas;
  • Welcoming international visitors, including visiting scholars and delegations;
  • Developing education abroad opportunities for students including field schools, exchanges, international practical experiences, and internships;
  • Travelling internationally for research, marketing, and program development;
  • Participating in professional development activities with an international focus or held at an international location.
