Post-Degree Diploma in Business Studies (PDDB)

Today’s global business environment is fast-paced, requiring managers with specialized skills. Rapid changes in technology, resource allocation, structural shifts in the economy, changes in consumer preferences, global competition, and shifts in the employment market all require a better understanding of the role and nature of business in today’s society.

VIU’s Post-Degree Diploma in Business Studies is a specialized short, focused program designed for students who have graduated from non-business or business degrees. These programs are 8 months in length and, subject to course availability, expose participants, to their choice of Accounting, Financial Services, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, Management and Leadership themes. The PDDB provides students with a way to achieve their ultimate goal of further graduate study or to support their entry into the business world.

Post Degree Diploma students develop an appreciation and understanding of how to achieve organizational objectives in an often diverse and turbulent environment. Lectures are supported by seminars, research projects and computer simulations.
