The Uvic game indentified some of our strengths and weakness’. The starting 11 played very well and were off to a 2-0 lead mid way through the 1st half, then we had a bit of a break down and Uvic was able to capitalize making the score 2-1 at half time. We made three or four substitutions at half time and the game started to change, Uvic scored two more goals on some breakdowns

We then started to put our starting line up back on the field and it turned the game back in our favour with us creating more scoring chances ,unfortunately the game was called early because of a lighting problem.

Jared Stephens and Akihiro Ishimine were our goal scorers and also our top two players on the park.

The Gordon Head game again we came out strong and played some good soccer getting up 1-0 and went into the 2nd half with a 1-0 lead .The 2nd half was different we didn’t play as organized but there was some positive things that came out of the game, players coming of the bench didn’t make as much of a difference as they did against UVIC .We are working on all players contributing equally and it will come with field time, they all need to get time on the field in these preseason games.

Akihiro Ishimine scored our only goal and again was one of our top players along with center back Tyler Merriman

Starting keeper Robbie Cochrane looked good over the two games allowing only 1 goal in two games
