NEWS RELEASES
COACH BILL MCWHINNIE
I thought we were fairly good defensively this past weekend holding Douglas to 42 points and a very high scoring Capilano team to 68 points after they scored 91 points the night before. We have shown flashes of brilliance but have not been able to put together 40 minutes yet. We have very important games next weekend at UBCO, a team we are currently tied with in the standings. It is going to take a very good team effort to get a win up
COACH TONY BRYCE
We came out very hard both nights and seemed to overwhelm the competition. Our depth was once again a key for us, as we had numerous guys in double figures this past weekend. Defensively for the most part I thought we did a pretty good job. It was also nice to be able to use our depth to rest a couple guys that were a little banged up. Solid team effort.
This coming weekend will be a big test for this group as we head up to Kelowna to play a very good, deep, athletic UBC-O team. They are 8-1 and right on our tails in the league standings. This will likely be a big weekend when all said in done for the league standings. It will be a hostile environment, and I know that coach Semeniuk will have his team very well prepared and ready to go.
