Career services
Off-Campus Work
The Career Centre provides on-line postings of part-time jobs and career postings. They host a Career Fair each spring to allow students to meet corporate recruiters.
International Students
While studying at Vancouver Island University, international academic students on study permits are eligible to work off-campus for up to 20 hours a week while studying. These students are also eligible to work full-time during scheduled breaks including the 4 month summer vacation and 3 week winter vacation. This provides MBA/MScIB students with a valuable opportunity to gain Canadian work experience while studying.
Students interested in the program are encouraged to read the Student Fact Sheet and the Employer Fact Sheet.
Further information for both students and employers can be found at:
www.learnlivebc.ca/off-campus-work/welcome.htm and further details for students at:

After Graduation
After graduation, international students will be eligible to work in Canada for up to 16 months. The MBA internship will provide students with important Canadian work experience to support their longer term work prospects world wide.
