Responsibilities

Learners

• Initiate and direct the PLA process
• Identify what they know and can do, and equate the learning with course/program outcomes
• Generate evidence to support their learning claims
• Adhere to established PLA guidelines

Faculty

• Create a timeline in consultation with the candidate
• Clarify and provide information about the PLA process
• Facilitate learners to match learning to course outcomes
• Help learners prepare for assessments
• Assess the candidates work and submit appropriate grade to registration
• Provide support and guidance to learners after assessments
• Submit summary of results form to the student, PLA Coordinator and the student file
• Maintain records
