Students Assisting Students

The Students-Assisting-Students program is designed to help students with documented disabilities. Student Assistants can help with:

  • Note-taking
  • Study skills
  • Reading
  • Research
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Orientation to other University services and resources such as the Library and Computer Labs

Students-Assisting-Students receive valuable experience which may be useful in their chosen careers.

Participants in the Students-Assisting-Students program are carefully screened, trained and supervised. Experience working as a peer helper or tutor is helpful, but is not required.

The Students-Assisting-Students program is funded by Vancouver Island University
