A Microsoft® Exchange web client that enables you to securely access your Microsoft Outlook mailbox from most computers with an Internet connection: http://webmail.mala.bc.ca/

VPN - Virtual Private Networking
Virtual Private Networking, or VPN, is a method for establishing a secure connection between a computer that is not on the campus network (e.g. your home computer) and the VIU campus network.

At Home Software
As part of our site license we are able to offer Symantec Anti-Virus software to faculty and staff for installation on their home computers.

Microsoft® Campus Agreement Work at Home/Home Use Programs
Through our Microsoft Campus Agreement we are able to offer Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate w/ SP1 (Upgrade version) Microsoft Windows 7 - 32 and 64 Bit versions, (Upgrade Version) and Visual Studio 2008 Professional at reduced rates for purchase by Faculty and Staff to install on a personal computer. Microsoft Home Use Program
Microsoft Office, Office for MAC, and Project are now available through the Microsoft Home Use Program for faculty and staff - Capitan login required.
