Macromedia Fireworks 8 is available on the Media stations in the Malaspina Commons.
Fireworks is an image editing program that combines bitmap and vector editing tools, and integrates with Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash. Fireworks specializes in keeping your images as small as possible for fast loading onto web pages.
An "Intuos3" drawing tablet may be borrowed from the Library Service Desk and used to draw, sketch, or write directly into Fireworks using the accompanying pen or mouse. The tablet may be borrowed for 4 hours at a time by VIU Students and employees (no renewals), and may be taken out of the library. Present your Employee or Student ID card at the Library Service Desk, and quote the tablet's call number, "LTABLET", to borrow the tablet. Instructions are included in the tablet package.
