Enable Remote File Access
Remote Access to your U: Drive is available for Macintosh computes running OS X 10.3 and later
In order to access your U: Dive on your Mac you must first turn on Remote File Access for your Discovery Account. This must be done on a Windows computer running Internet Explorer 5 or later and only needs to be done once. To enable remote file access login to the following web page in Internet Explorer on a Windows PC -- the tool buttons
will NOT work with Safari or Firefox.
You will see a page that should look like this. If Remote file access is not enabled, click the Enable button.
Access your U: drive:
- In the Finder's GO menu, click on Connect to Server...
- Type the
following:
- https://www.discovery.mala.bc.ca/home/yourusername
- Change 'yourusername' to your Discovery account username (i.e.
https://www.discovery.mala.bc.ca/home/555444555)
- Press the Connect button
